Introduction

The following book is the life story of Dorothy Rosa Kinny, my mother.

It was still in draft form when she passed away in Dec 2011 and I have attempted to edit it into a comprehensible story. At times I found her narrative to be very repetitive, especially her views on religion and society, and I'm certain she would have self-edited many of these parts. However I found it impossible to condense the passages and abridge the work to my satisfaction - and hers.

I hope you enjoy the story regardless and that it gives you an insight into life in Australia during the 20th Century.
