Dear Homefolks
The usual complaint but still it cannot be helped.

Hit the Bn about a week ago & we are now following Fritz up. Will probably be in a stunt before long. The weather today is beautiful & yesterday was ##.

Met Norm Elli## yesterday. He is looking quite well. Wished to be remembered to you all. His mob were having a well deserved rest.

Heard from an officer in Vernies lot that he is slightly wounded but not enough to cause him to leave.

Don’t know when I’ll get a chance to post this. Well Viola & Dad I wish you both many happy returns of the 16th & 28th respectively. With any sort of luck will be able to personally pull the hair of your respective heads next time. Haven’t heard from Wal yet Viola but that’s nothing in these times. Also haven’t heard from Viv, Charlie or the Grahams. Don’t know where Viv’s lot are.

Well news is scarce so I’ll close with best of love to you all, your loving son & brer Bert.
